And the Pinks have won it! A come from behind win against the 3-time champions, Red Team. The Pinks were able to play their cards right and completed an upset against the Reds, who were leading from the start of the competition, to take this year’s Masikan Team Building.
It was refreshing to see old and new members come together again after the 2-year lull due to the pandemic. The cheers of the five teams have set the tone and atmosphere of the event, reflecting how members can be so creative and bullies at the same time. The designed program and activities allowed the members to do tactical thinking and quick strategic planning, to be resourceful, to build partnerships and facilitate negotiations amongst the opposing teams, to understand fellow members, and to learn from each other’s experiences.
To witness the members’ competitiveness and their desire to pursue excellence in every activity presented would only make you believe that the chapter has a bright future in the hands and hearts of its members emerging as leaders of the organization. Indeed, April 21 was a day and night of celebration of brotherhood and sisterhood at Garden Dine Resort in Mabiga. The day may have started with five colorful teams, but at the end of the night, everyone went home as one MASIKAN Culiat. Special thanks to the committee members who shared their ideas, time, and a lot of efforts to make the project a success: Wilson Molina, Romiel Passion, William Banal, Jester James, Benny Agbanlog, Raffy Munoz, Dane Morales, Ino Buan, Ronnel Garcia, Jerald Salazar, Kevin Wilkerson, Bucks Manabat, Kelvin Sampang, Arvey Zapanta, Maki Chan, and the Multiverse BJCs.
Thanks, too, to Pres Cai Bravo, EVP Princess Lam, and 2022 BOD for the support. Special thanks to PP JC Lim and PP Paulita Gomez-Manabat for the assistance in facilitating.
